Luigi's Mansion Is a Game where you play as Luigi, and tasked with getting rid of Ghost inside of his new Mansion, It features interesting and original game-play where you use a Vacuum cleaner to defeat the ghost, it has good story and is usually considered as Luigi's 1st major title.

In the game, the player assume the role of the protagonist, who equips with a specialized vacuum cleaner called the Poltergust 5000 used to capture ghosts. The game takes place in the fictional world, consisting of five haunted mansions. The primary objective of the player is to retrieve the objects of the Dark Moon, an object with a pacifying effect on the ghosts living in the mansion.
According to the story, Professor sends Luigi to navigate abandoned mansions to capture ghosts using his special vacuum cleaner. The player explores five mansion in Single-player mode, where each mansion has a specific theme, objectives and ghosts to capture.

So how can i start this thing, well Its a wannabe Ghostbuster Luigi(where the heck did they get this idea) and you have to save Mario, it sounds like an original idea but it is not, nor is this the first game of luigi. The first game luigi was a waste that came out, it is seldom heard about and it was released on the NES called, Mario is missing, well Luigis mansion at least was way better than its predessor.
You Go through a haunted for a mansion that has a lot of ghosts from people who once apparently lived in it.Main problem here is they never explain why all these people lived here, or if they lived together. Its curious since there is no proof that they are related or anything. The pro here is they all have curious stories behind each character, Example: how they died, how they lived, what they were doing, their hobbies all in a humorous manner, that explains the rating E in front of the box though. The game tries to be very, very funny and that screws it up and makes it childish but that isn't rare nowadays for nintendo.
Well back to the story your brother mario (duh) was lost for some reason, and you have to capture ghosts to progress, who helps you in the story? Which I do not care and just can not remember, everyone does not seem to remember him anyway.he also teaches you to capture ghosts and makes strange noises instead of talking (no dialogue, just reading). At a time you'll have to catch boo's and that might be giving you an idea of who is behind all this.(yup) Overall for your nintendo gamecube Collection its quite worth it but did we really want this? No and for that I give the game a 3, we wanted a mario game and received this and later mario sunshine but that's another story.
Luigi's Mansion Luigi's Mansion is a very enjoyable and fun game. It was one of the first games to show off the graphics capable on the Gamecube, which I always considered a be a slight up on the PS2. The game is fun and you will more than likely play it to the end. It is a short game though. I think the best part about it is exploring the mansion and each room in it. Overall if you have a Wii or Gamecube, you really need to play this one. It was one of the best if not the best launch title on the Gamecube and has a cool idea, which is to explore the mansion, suck up ghosts in a special vaccum cleaner and solve simple puzzles.
If your into hardcore gaming you may be un-interested by the game but It's still fun to play. Finally, A LUIGI Game! Yes, LUIGI finally gets an appearance in his own game. Not only is this game fun to replay, but it is defiantly captures what the GameCube was designed to do and is defiantly a good starter game to get this system rolling. This game has some amazing methods of showing off the GameCube graphics and lighting.
It is very interesting how they designed the Mansion to and how it is just room based and not solely based on a first person, or big third person view. The game play is very easy to do.
If a dog can stand up on two legs and walk then a child can very easily play this game. All you need to know is use the control stick and press the button to suck ghosts. But, I make it sound very simple the challenges are what get you in this game. You do have to do a little thinking, but it is very logical and makers sense. You will not need a FAQ site or walkthrough site for this game (unless your really dumb in the head). I love replaying this game. Not only can you get a new mansion (star mansion once completed) and new puzzles but it is fun trying to get every little cent to get an “A” rated mansion.
Overall, it is an excellent starter game for the GameCube and defiantly a quality game for all ages.
